The Mission

The Feed and Read school in Phnom Penh, Cambodia is a program that allows some of Cambodia’s poorest families to send their children to primary school for free. When La Sierra University students traveled to Cambodia in the spring of 2011, they witnessed the value of this educational program first hand. They also discovered a problem. The students who graduated from the Feed and Read schools lacked the funds to further their education in secondary school. These students return to their homes in the slums, where they enter the work force at young ages.

This year, REVO La Sierra, a group of students committed to social injustice causes, is raising money toward sending these children to secondary school. The money will go towards starting a scholarship fund for the graduates from the Feed and Read.

The money raised will benefit a small Feed & Read school in Cambodia sponsored by ASAP Ministries, that was created for the sole purpose of providing a Christian education for children from some of the most impoverished children in Cambodia.
